Become a Six Sigma project manager

NNE Pharmaplan offers a one week course dedicated to the pharmaceutical and related industry.

Six Sigma is a methodology of combining a proven project management model with statistical analysis techniques in working through the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control cycle of process improvement.

The course will cover:

• DMAIC project model
• Correlation and regression
• Gauge and process capability studies
• Control charts and capability index
• Design of experiments
• Analysis of variance
• Multivariate statistics
• Applied statistics using JMP® Software
• Process basics (Voice of the Process)
• Definition of quality (Voice of the Customer)
• Project charters
• Cause and effect analysis
• Failure mode and effects analysis

The course will include case study exercises and work based projects to enable hands-on learning.

No specific prior knowledge about Six Sigma or statistics will be necessary, other than an idea about what a mean and standard deviation is. Following the course, the participants will be able to define and map value creating processes which need to be improved. They will learn how to measure, analyse and evaluate them on an objective statistical basis.
Finally, the participants will be able to improve the processes and anchor the solutions.

The JMP® software from SAS is free for evaluation in a trial period of 30 days, i.e. during the course. A license can thereafter be purchased at the SAS Institute.

In order to pass green belt certification the following is required:
• Full attendance at the courses
• Satisfactory grading in course exams
• Completion of a green belt project in own organisation
The typical project duration is 3 months with 25- 50% workload.

The course fee is 3.200 EUR including course material and books.
