Jennifer Wise, 30, B.Sc. Meteorology. Joined NNE Pharmaplan, North Carolina, in February 2006, as a Project Assistant in the Project Management Office.

“Our project portfolio in the US has grown considerably in connection with the NNE Pharmaplan integration. Today we have more than 200 open projects. Together with a colleague I am responsible for project reporting and the day to day management of the portfolio in collaboration with our Project Director. I enjoy working and interacting with my colleagues and get great satisfaction out of learning new things every day.

My role has definitely expanded since I started less than two years ago. The project integration exercise has been a particular challenge, and I have taken on more responsibility. Now I am working more on portfolio management than I used to and less on administrative tasks.

My heart lies with project management which is always a challenge. I really enjoy working with risk analysis and project scheduling, and I already learned a lot from working with other project team members. This will prove to be a good stepping stone for going into project management which I would very much like to do. I am right now studying for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). The certification which I plan to complete in 2008 will enable me to advance within this specific area. This is part of my career plan which I have discussed with my boss who supports my professional and personal development.

Compared to American companies NNE Pharmaplan empowers employees to make their own decisions in a lot of situations. We have an open and honest management and communication is good. Our managers trust us to work independently and make decisions of our own.

Working in NNE Pharmaplan you definitely have to be a team player and enjoy international team work. There are colleagues all over the world who are able to help you. I work primarily with Danish colleagues on our group project management system covering budgets, agreements and resource allocations.

In my future job with NNE Pharmaplan I would love to travel more. With offices all over the world NNE Pharmaplan offers a lot of opportunities.”
