Hubert Koffi, 34, originating from the Ivory Coast, now living in Sweden and graduated in 2005 as M.Sc. Chemical Engineering. In May 2007, after one year of working with Swedish Alpha Laval, he started out on a two-year International Graduate Program at NNE Pharmaplan in Copenhagen.
During his first assignment with the Quality Management Department, Hubert Koffi was responsible for the HVAC quality assurance protocols of a building project in France. Five months after he was allocated to a major reconstruction project in Spain with the task of reviewing process and instrumentation diagrams for the new facility.
“Even though I have only been with NNE Pharmaplan for six months, I am already on my second international project. As part of the graduate programme I move around to different projects allowing me to learn all the time and apply my theoretical knowledge in the real world.

The project work is a very new and exciting challenge to me, and I enjoy the close team work with my colleagues. There are always different ways to approach and solve technical problems. Right now I am in regular contact with a colleague in Spain to discuss P&ID reviews and other project issues. I have also been assigned a technical coach, who supervises and helps me solve technical problems
As an International Graduate I am part of a large group of graduates with different background and culture. Every month we arrange professional and social events, and we often have lunch together. It is a great opportunity to strengthen your network.
My first six months in NNE Pharmaplan have been fantastic. Like most engineers I went for an international company to increase my technological knowledge and expand my view of other people and cultures. At NNE Pharmaplan you can get it all. My colleagues have shown confidence right from the start and I was quickly given responsibility. Only two weeks after I started, I was on my first business trip to France. Working with people from different cultures in international projects all over the world helps you increase your problem solving skills and enables you to make friends everywhere. It broadens your mind and makes you a better human being.
With a technical background in the process area I have also worked in the areas of HVAC and quality. The ambition for my future career is to combine these professional disciplines. This will make me a more qualified engineer who will fit in almost everywhere. I feel very much at home at NNE Pharmaplan. Hopefully I am here to stay.”
