Jesper Brandgaard
Chairman of the Board
Jesper Brandgaard is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Novo Nordisk A/S. He joined Novo Nordisk in 1999 as Corporate Vice President of Corporate Finance and was appointed CFO in November 2000. He has served as Chairman of the board of NNE Pharmaplan since 2001.
He is currently also Chairman of the Board of NNIT A/S and Vice Chairman of the Board of SimCorp A/S, Denmark.
Mr Brandgaard holds an MSc in Economics and Auditing and an MBA, both from the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.
Hans Örström
Vice Chairman
Hans Örström is Senior Vice President of Biopharmaceuticals and Product Sales at Biovitrum and has held senior positions with Kabi and Pharmacia in Sweden. He started his career in biopharmaceuticals and health care product sales at Kabi in 1979, and later moved on to Pharmacia. He was appointed Director of Plasma Products at Biovitrum in 1992.
Mr Örström holds a BSc in Economics and Business Administration.
Per Valstorp
Member of the Board
Per Valstorp is Senior Vice President of Product Supply at Novo Nordisk. He has been with Novo Nordisk since 1987 and has held a number of senior positions in the company, including President of the Medical Systems Division and Corporate Vice President for Health Care Quality and Regulatory Affairs. He has been a member of NNIT’s board since 1999.
Prior to joining Novo Nordisk, Mr Valstorp was Associate Professor in Mathematical Statistics and Operational Research at the Technical University of Denmark.
He holds a Master’s degree in Science (Operational Research and Planning) from the Technical University of Denmark.
Thomas W. Wylonis
Member of the Board
Thomas W. Wylonis is Adjunct Professor at the Scandinavian International Management Institute. Prior to this appointment, he held positions as Director of Executive Education/Diploma Programmes and Executive Vice President of the Scandinavian International Management Institute. Mr Wylonis also has extensive consulting experience: Before joining SIMI, he was a Director at McKinsey & Company and faculty member of internal McKinsey training programmes. He has also worked as an applied researcher at Bell Telephone Laboratories.
He is a member of several boards of directors.
Mr Wylonis holds a PhD in Operations Research from New York University and a Master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Ole F. Ramsby
Member of the Board
Ole F. Ramsby is Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Novo Nordisk A/S. He joined Novo Nordisk in 1997 as Corporate Vice President of Legal Affairs. He has served as Member of the Board of NNE Pharmaplan since 2001.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Boards of Novo Nordisk of North America Inc. and NN Security A/S and is a board member of many Novo Nordisk affiliates.
Mr Ramsby holds an MA in Law from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Søren P. Andersen
Member of the Board
Søren P. Andersen is an employee elected representative. He currently holds a position as Working Environment Consultant and has previously held positions as HR Consultant and Manager in Mechanical Engineering at NNE Pharmaplan.
Mr. Andersen joined Novo Nordisk in 1989 and started at NNE Pharmaplan in 1995. He has previously worked at Dansk Ingeniør System (now Grontmij Carl Bro), Danbrew Consult Ltd., Scandinavisk Henkel A/S and Novozymes.
Mr Andersen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Copenhagen University College of Engineering.
He has been Member of the Board since 2001.
Erik Bruun
Member of the Board
Erik Bruun is an employee elected representative. He currently holds a position as Process Engineer. Mr Bruun has project experience within purification plants, cell cultivation pilot plant production facilities of "Omacor" and development projects for disposable techniques.
Erik Bruun joined NNE Pharmaplan in 2000. He has worked for NNE Pharmaplan as a consultant since 1982, while employed at AN Group A/S.
Mr Bruun has an educational background as an electrical engineer.
He has been Member of the Board since 2006.
