Design for Six Sigma

NNE Pharmaplan training course

Event description

This course consists of two separate tuition days:

Day 1 focuses on robust design and is targeted towards professionals who are interested in making systems more robust to variation in components and thereby allowing larger tolerance windows on component properties.

The content of Day 1 is centrered around the required five items:

  • critical outputs Y,
  • specs for outputs Y,
  • critical inputs X,
  • transfer function Y(X,) and
  • capabilities of inputs X,

and around minimising Y variance by:

  • changing transfer function Y(x),
  • changing targets for X,
  • tightening tolerances on red X.

Day 1 participants must have completed NNE Pharmaplan Six Sigma Green Belt training or similar.

Day 2 is concentrated around tolerance chains and the target audience is professionals working with distributing system tolerances to component tolerances in a way that can be enforced in component release.

The content of Day to is tolerance chain methods, i.e. Worst case tolerances, statistical tolerances and process tolerances. Day 2 will also address tolerance chain assumptions enforced in quality specifications.

Day 2 participants must have completed Day 1 on robust design.

When: 8.30 - 16.30 on Wednesday 3 to Thursday 4 October
Where: NNE Pharmaplan's headquarters, Nybrovej 80, 2820 Gentofte, Denmark
Price: DKK 8,000 for both days/DKK 4,000 for Day 1 only
